Jancis Robinson's marks

Jancis robinson marked 6 of our cuvées.

15.5/20 Cuvée Première Brut
"Lemony floral, like the scent of crushed lemon grass. Juicy acidity, mouthwatering, but not too sharp. A light biscuity undertow, like lemon-zested digestive biscuit. A hint of sweetness on the finish."

17/20 Cuvée Blanc de Blanc Brut 2005
"Chamomile tea on the nose. Fine bead, firm and savoury with a bit of citrus/orange peel. Broad and lingering, lots of development and yet crackling. Reminds me of the freshest crusty bread and particularly pungent peppery olive oil. And marmalade. A truly interesting champagne that firmly deserves to be on the dinner table."

17/20 Cuvée Pinot Blanc Extra Brut 2006
"Pale straw colour. Fine but restrained nose. Tight and sinewy, as if trying to keep those bubbles under control. Long lemony lines and crunchy lipsmacking acidity. Good structure and length"

15/20 Cuvée Vintage 2005 Brut
"Pale lemon colour. The fruit is not super fresh on the nose although there is certainly enough acidity on the palate. Then it fades rather fast."

16.5/20 Cuvée Confidences Brut
"Straw colour. Creamy lemon peel and brioche. Hint of Seville orange to start, then toasty fullness marches across the palate with bold assertion. Touch of meadow flower and a very light attractive note of vanilla on the finish. Quite serious."

16/20 Cuvée Confidences Rosé Brut
"Pale wild-salmon pink. Rose petals. Neat and drawn up like a purse string, clementine sweetness and tingle across the palate. Just a faint hint of raspberries. Not overly long or complex but very very fresh and appetising."
